Originally from Taupo Wayne left school in 1984 did an apprenticeship at Titan Plant as an Automotive engineer (heavy equipment). Adventured to Australia and worked in the mines/ construction sites on big earthmoving equipment. Did a stint on the Hongkong airport construction project, as well as working in New Guinea.

Wayne invented and patented a hydraulic devise which lead to dealing with countries globally. Returning to Australia to promote this adventure and stayed there for 10 years. The last couple of years before returning to NZ, he was contracted to Bechtel on a big LNG project in Queensland. With over 10 thousand pieces of equipment on site he supplied Hydraulic hoses and fittings and looked after the hydraulic side of things. Self-employed in Queensland and western Australia.

Back to NZ Wayne set up a company specialising in repairs, rebuilds and sales of Rock Breakers and hydraulically plumbing, setting up diggers for Rock Breakers and other attachments. This was the introduction of selling hose and fittings in business which carries on today.

Returning home to Taupo bringing with him his Mobile hose truck from Australia. Wayne Says "its good to be back, starting and building business and now the Hose and fittings shop".
